Your First Visit: New Patient Dental Exam in Ottawa
It all starts with a phone call! When you contact our Ottawa dental office, our friendly team will schedule your first appointment at a time that works best for you. If you have any scheduling concerns, let us know—we’re happy to accommodate your needs. Whether you're a new patient or returning, we ensure a comfortable and welcoming experience from start to finish.
To make your visit smoother, we’ll send you a Patient Information Form in advance. You can complete this in the comfort of your home, allowing us to better understand your health history before your visit.
Why a New Patient Exam?
Modern advancements in dental and medical technology allow us to live healthier, longer lives. Our goal is to provide you with the most accurate, up-to-date information about your oral health, ensuring you can make the best decisions for your care. We want all new patients to feel confident about their oral health journey. For new patients, we conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand your concerns and current oral health status. For returning adult patients, a reevaluation is recommended every 3-5 years.
What to Expect During Your First Appointment
A Warm Welcome: Upon arrival, our receptionist will greet you in our modern waiting area, where you can enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee. Your comfort is our priority—feel free to bring a blanket or pillow if it helps you relax.
One-on-One Consultation: A member of our team will introduce themselves and guide you to a private consultation room. Unlike many dental offices, your dentist—not a hygienist—will conduct your new patient exam. During this examination, your dentist will assess your overall oral health, identify any concerns, and discuss the best course of action moving forward.
