At The Teal Umbrella, we’re always updating our technologies. We want to offer our patients the complete, up-to-date dental health experience possible. Instead of waiting for our equipment to fall into disrepair, we update it frequently to keep up with advancements in technology.
Below is a list of some of the products we provide, and a short description of their utility.
Electric toothbrushes offer a better clean than traditional toothbrushes, and Sonicare™ are among the best of them.
These toothbrushes are recommended for people with sensitive teeth because they are gentler than hand-brushing, but they are still powerful enough to help whiten teeth and remove plaque.
Invisalign® is an excellent alternative to braces. It allows users to straighten their teeth without their friends knowing they’re doing it.
Furthermore, while braces can cause painful sores in the mouth, Invisalign® is easy on the lips and gums.
Our office has two Kavo Key 3 Lasers, which we use for gum care and the treatment of various dental issues. Laser technology is a fast and simple alternative to many complex surgical procedures. It allows patients to recover sooner from their treatments
Kavo Key 3 Lasers are also effective as gum disease treatments, fighting off the bacteria that causes the disease, and also used to treat cold sore.
DIAGNOdent is a handheld laser system that aids in the detection of cavities. It works by shooting a harmless laser at your tooth and measuring the reflection. Teeth that are healthy do not reflect florescent light, but teeth that are beginning to show signs of decay reflect that light.
This system is very accurate, and can detect decay that would otherwise be undetectable by the human eye.
Oral infection is a major problem. Over 75% percent of people have an oral infection, and usually they are unaware, allowing to be passed from person to person. Oravital® is a way of detecting these infections and taking steps to eradicate them. Its system involves it easier for your dentist to see the infection. At The Teal Umbrella, we can also send swabs from your mouth to the lab in order to check for infection.
If you are found to be infected, we provide an Oravital® rinse and cream treatment.
We offer crowns constructed with CEREC® technology. This technology allows us to prepare a crown in minutes, meaning that patients typically only need one appointment to complete the procedure.
Usually, the dentist will take impressions of the tooth to be crowned, then send those impressions to a lab where the crown will be manufactured. But with CEREC® technology, we can take digital measurements of the tooth and produce a crown on-site.
This there is no regular impression and we only need one appointment when doing a crown.
We offer our patients the option of using Synsodyne™ products during their cleanings. Sensodyne™ toothpastes help to prevent pain from sensitive teeth, and newer varieties even repair tooth enamel.
The Spa-Dent® whitening system gives patients a faster alternative to traditional professional whitening. In 20 minutes, patients’ teeth are whitened using a special gel in combination with high intensity LEDs.
We often supplement the Spa-Dent® treatment with a short home-whitening regimen to help ensure success.
