Sedation Dentistry Nepean

Are you afraid of the dentist? You may have something called “dental phobia.”

Perhaps you associate dentists with pain and discomfort. Well, we’re here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that way.

Patients First

At The Teal Umbrella, we prioritize our patients over everything else. And to us, that means ensuring that they are comfortable during every procedure. That’s why we offer dental phobia-free dental services. We work hard to make our services work for you. Whether you’re a little nervous about getting a root canal or you’re scared of needles, we work to find ways of working around your concerns.

Getting to Know Your Needs

Every appointment begins with an evaluation of your specific concerns. Our team will sit you down and make sure that you’re comfortable with the options we’ve recommended. Only when you give the go-ahead do we proceed with treatment.

From sunglasses to topical anesthetics, we offer a customized treatment environment for all of our procedures. We can do everything in our power to make the room you’re treated in more comfortable for you. Sometime that means dimming the lights a bit. Sometimes that means playing some soothing music. Whatever we can do to help you, we do.

Our Sedation Options

People often associate dentists with pain, but The Teal Umbrella works hard to make your appointment pain-free, hopefully easing your dental phobia. We offer needle-based and gas-based pain blockers to help make sure the patient is as comfortable as possible.

  1. Oral or Nitrous mild sedation: In this kind of sedation, pain will be eased either by a pill taken before the appointment, or by nitrous gas.
  2. Moderate sedation: Under this kind of sedation, you’ll be conscious, but you won’t experience pain in the same way as when you’re fully conscious. We give either intravenously (IV) and/or through oral medicine.
